07/24/2020 Update for WCPC

Effective July 1, 2020, the Session (or leadership board) of West Chester Presbyterian Church has approved an outdoor meeting policy for allowing church groups to meet on outdoor church property, in parks or outside at church members' residences. This policy creates the opportunity for small groups and even worship events to occur outside.  In the event of an outdoor worship service, we will still have weekly online, live-streamed and recorded worship services every Sunday at 10:15am.

Please click here to read a letter from Session to the congregation of West Chester Presbyterian Church.

Additionally, though the policy allows for outdoor gatherings and for limited use of the church restrooms, the rest of the church building remains suspended/closed; with the exceptions of the kitchen which will continue to be used for Monday night suppers (being offered in 'to-go' format only) and the sanctuary for use by the small team creating the online, weekly worship services.

Blessings,

Rev. Tyler Pettigrew

Please click here to watch a video from the national leadership of our denomination, the Presbyterian Church (USA), which helps to explain why our church is making the decisions we are at this moment.

Here is a video describing the Eagle Scout project that Josh Breithaupt is doing to benefit our church.  He's building a fire ring, benches and picnic tables to be installed in the green space near the flagpole. You can help this project by volunteering to assist with building or by donating funds to finance it.  Contact Heather, the church secretary, at westchester.presbyterian@fuse.net  to express interest in volunteering. You can donate funds by sending a check to the church with "Eagle Scout Project" listed in the "Note/Memo" line or by using the "Donate" tab on the church website. Once on the "Donate" page, in the “Give to” drop-down box  you can select “Other” and then type Eagle Scout Project in the “Note” line.
