SPECIAL EVENT:

Talent Night

On Sunday evening January 29 at 5:00 pm, we invite everyone to an “Evening of Talent Sharing”. Not necessarily performance talents. As you know, talents come in many varieties. We’ll begin the evening with a Potluck Supper (sharing of culinary talents). Before and after supper there will be tables around the Fellowship Hall for people to display their various talents. Ideas include needlework, Jazzercise, rock collecting, climbing, and cake decorating. Around 7:00 or so, we’ll move to the Sanctuary to enjoy the talents of our singers, dancers, and musicians.

For the Potluck: To make sure we have an ample variety in all categories, we are asking people to bring dishes according to the letter of their last name:

A – H Desserts , I – O Entrees/Main Dish, P – Z Sides/Salads

Lenten Series

This year’s Lenten Series promises to be an exciting one for everyone who is married, engaged or hoping/thinking they might someday be. It is a study series based upon the hit movie Fireproof, the Christian film of a couple of years ago with a message aimed at strengthening relationships for couples, from those who may be struggling, to those whose relationship is already strong. Weekly Events

Community Suppers: Either help serve or come and enjoy a meal with friends. There are several groups that take turns serving suppers every Monday for the community. They work from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. For more information about joining a group, contact the church office at 777-1705.
Monday Men's Group: This Bible study and fellowship opportunity is for the men of the church. The group meets at 12:00 pm every Monday in the pastor's office. For more information, contact Mike Wheatley .
Busy Women's Bible Study: Join the women of the church for a 6 week study using the series "Real Women, Real Faith: Life Changing Stories from the Bible for Women Today". This study unearths fresh insights for your life from women who lived thousands of years ago. This study shows how God moved in the lives of six women in the Old Testament whose struggles to life with faith and courage are not unlike our own. Each session is independent. This study is from Thursday, January 5 to Thursday, February 2 at 7:00 pm

Monthly Events

For The Babies: is a knitting, sewing and crocheting group that makes newborn baby items for intensive care units, welfare agencies, and other clinics. They meet the second Saturday of every month from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. For more information call the church office at 777-1705.
Women's Birthday Club: This women's group gets together once a month to celebrate birthdays. Luncheons are held the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Location and times are announced a week before the luncheon. If you would like to join the Birthday Club, check the bulletin or call the church office for the location and time.
